The elk and deer are normally in Rocky Mountain National Park during the hotter months and in the larger open spaces in and around town in the colder months as grazing is easier at lower altitudes due to less snow. Look for them in the golf courses and in the big meadow around the 4 mile marker on Hwy 36.
